This summer is shaping up to be an exciting time for the NWHBA. We'll be kicking off our 2009 Parade of Homes on June 26th and throughout July and August we'll be hosting a number of education classes, our Charity Foundation Golf Tournament, Summer Party, and a host of member luncheons. We'll finish off the summer with a Builder Day at the Ogden Farmers Market.

I'm excited about our summer schedule and I hope you're able to take advantage of our event opportunities.

 

2009Parade of Homes

The 2009 Parade has shaped up to be a stellar event. We have 33 gorgeous homes on display from North Salt Lake to Plain CIty, and Mt. Green to Pineview. It's an interesting mix this year with homes form modest to all out. Our builders have pulled out all of the stops, so please plan to visit the show. Parade VIP Night

For NWHBA members and their guests, we have planned a fun filled night to kick off the Parade of Homes. The theme this year is Mexican. We'll have great mexican food and a mariachi band along with our builder and committee recognition. The social aspect is allways a hit and we'll have six Parade homes open for visiting immediately follwing the event.

Date: June 25th at 6 PM. Location: Nichols Park in Fruit Heights. Open Parade homes will be in Farmington, Kaysville, Fruit Heights and Layton.

Cost: $25.00 per person. If you purchase a table of eight, you only pay for six!! Your cost will be $150.00, a $50.00 savings! Watch for your invitation and RSVP information in the mail.

 

Special Education Event:

For you builders that have sales staffs, or if you are your sales staff, this is for you! The NWHBA has partnered with the Salt Lake and Utah Valley HBA's to bring you something really special; a highly regarded national teacher and consultant specializing in new home sales and sales management. His name is Tom Richie. You may have seen him at our natioanl conventions.

Tom has put together a special presentation for our members entitled "Romancing Financing; How to Sell and Close with Your Financing".

Ask any builder, sales manager, or home buyer and they will say the biggest lack of home selling expertise is simply … Salespeople cannot or do not sell and close sales with financing! In an age where monthly payments are critical to buyers and where home buyers need to know tax advantages, very few sales people can step up and perform. This one or two day learning event is based on Tom Richey’s personal experience selling and managing new home sales. Participants learn how to bring home buyers along in a comforting manner to the final decision. That decision is based on how much home one can own for how little per month. Ask your sales staff to perform an accurate after tax cost of housing set up … or ask them to sell the proper program relative to the buyer’s financial ability … or mystery shop them! The results will prove that your staff needs this critical financing sales training now!
