We're excited to announce the 2012 NWHBA Parade will offer a Fixed Site in conjunction with our Scattered Site, this year! We have entered into an agreement with Eaglepointe Development, LLC to sponsor the fixed site location in EaglePointe, North Salt Lake.
Many of you know the advantages of a fixed site including an increase of Parade visitor traffic between 40-50%. While the increased traffic brings more potential customers to your home, it has the additional advantage of attracting craftsman and suppliers that are often willing to provide additional discounts to you.
Our Fixed Site location in North Salt Lake is poised to attract the maximum number of visitors to your home by adding to our usual Salt Lake visitors. With a beautiful location, close proximity to Salt Lake, and homes attractively priced, you just can't go wrong!

For 2012, the NWHBA has also kept the Scattered Site concept. We feel this approach maintains the broadest spectrum of homes and locations in design, cost, and attractiveness to the public.
PARADE BENEFITS:

There are two ways to participate in the 2012 Parade:
TRADITIONAL ENTRY: This is the premier Parade entry, offering a full range of benefits and is the most effective marketing for your Parade home. This entry includes a professional artist rendering of your home, and you retain the original full size rendering! Also included is a full page in the Parade magazine with home specifications, floor plans, home and business information, builder photo, sub-contractor and supplier listings, and eligibility for the People's Choice Award. MODEL ENTRY: This entry type has been slightly modified this year to include Model Homes only. This entry modification is designed to assist our builders that would like to showcase their developments with the concentrated exposure that only our Parade of Homes can provide. Benefits include a special section in the Parade magazine that will include a photo of your Model Home or community, full details of your home/s, contact information, and a paragraph about your home or community. And new for 2012, Each Model Home will be provided “Visitor Badges” for your active clients, eliminating the need for you to purchase additional Parade tickets. This is an effective, yet economical Parade entry for your model homes/developments!
Whatever category you choose, the 2012 Parade of Homes is sure to be beneficial to your business!
There are a few additional modifications to our Parade policies:
Home decoration: All Parade homes are required to be fully decorated. To assist you, your decorator will now be allowed inside the Parade homes. This change is designed to help you entice decorators to participate with you by providing a venue to personally show their designs and promote their business.
Vender sub/supplier ribbons: We are reintroducing vendor/sub and supplier ribbons for the businesses that helped make your home a success. We’ll provide you with 6 ribbons to display around your home. The only requirement is your awarded ribbons must go to vendors that worked, or provided services or materials for your Parade home. This added recognition is just one way for you to show your appreciation to your people.
Split People’s Choice Award: $500,000 and up, and $500,000 and below. This change better represents the market today and provides another way to reward your efforts regardless of your home’s price point.
2012 NWHBA Parade Entry fee structure:
Traditional Entry:
· Members holding membership for two or more consecutive years: $4000.
· Members with less than two or more consecutive membership years: $4500.00.
· Non-members: $6000
A $1000.00 Deposit/pre-penalty payment is due upon execution of the entry contract and secures your entry into the Parade. NOTE: The Deposit is not included in the Entry Fee and will be returned to you as scheduled in the Parade Contract.

Model Home Entry:
· Members holding membership for two or more consecutive years: $3000.
· Members with less than two or more consecutive membership years: $3500.00.
· Non-members: $5500
A $500.00 Deposit/pre-penalty payment is due upon execution of the entry contract and secures your entry into the Parade. NOTE: The Deposit is not included in the Entry Fee and will be returned to you as scheduled in the Parade Contract.
The NWHBA invites all builders to enter the 2012 Parade of Homes. The deadline, to avoid late entry penalties, is January 31, 2012.
