The Northern Wasatch Home Builders Charitable Foundation was organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit to receive donations, fund charitable construction related projects and establish scholarships for local students in the construction industry. The NWHBA Charitable Foundation was honored to support to an amazing cause in 2022—A Miracle for Max.
In February, Max Togisala, a Bonneville High School senior was injured in a skiing accident leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. In addition to many obstacles Max and his family were facing, their tri-level home did not provide needed wheelchair accessibility. A project was quickly initiated to add a bedroom and bath for Max. Many suppliers and builders from the Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association pitched in to construct and complete this addition in the record timing of six weeks! The Charitable Foundation was one of many who donated funds to help with this deserving project. Max was able to return home from rehabilitation to a brand-new bedroom with an adjoining bathroom to fit all of this needs. Max has been an inspiration to many, and the Charitable Foundation was honored to assist with this project.
